Digital Opera

About the project
My role

Lead Designer · Identity & Print · Motion
(sole designer responsible for the entire project)
Task

Create an identity and visual system for Digital Opera Fest — Digital Opera is a multidisciplinary festival combining classical performance, theatre and digital media.
Scope

Naming logic · Identity & graphic language · Layout system · Printed materials · Brandbook structure & guidelines

Digital Opera is a multidisciplinary festival combining classical performance, theatre and digital media. The identity merges digital rhythm with the visual language of classical performance.

The “<” symbol functions as a digital accolade linking Digital and Opera.
It references the brace that connects staves in a musical score, merging digital logic with classical structure.

A simplified version of the logo is used for merchandise and informal communication. It keeps the same geometry but works better on fabric and small-scale materials.

The pattern is created from rectangular modules that repeat the rhythm of a score.

The illustrations use the same modular elements as the pattern. They reference stage movement and scenography while staying within the system’s grid.

Hi, I’m Dasha Kutsil,

I strive to make systems feel sterile and alive.
Enjoy working with contrasts. Creating design that feels
both intelligent and emotional.

Structure, motion, and generative tools — the way for me to find
where clarity becomes character.
